# How to add group tool

“version”: “7.2.0”,

I want to add a new toolbarGroup to the group toolbar at the top. What method should I use? Look forward to your reply

Hi there,

Unfortunately this is not possible with our current APIs. It is in our backlog to accommodate this use case, but there is no timeline yet.

That being said, our UI is [open source](https://github.com/PDFTron/webviewer-ui) meaning you can fork it and make any customizations to the code that you wish. We have a guide on this process [here](https://pdfjs.express/documentation/ui-customization/advanced-customization). A good place to start customizing would be the [Ribbons component](https://github.com/PDFTron/webviewer-ui/blob/7.3/src/components/Ribbons/Ribbons.js).
