Detailed description of issue
I have a use case where is needed to extract the pages with the annotations but the extractPages() method is not working with any test (review image), we need help to solve this issue, please point us in the correct direction in how to properly use this method.
PDF.js Express does not support extracting pages or any document manipulation.
We share an API with our sister product, Apryse WebViewer, which is why some documentation that we don’t support exists (sometimes they slip through the cracks)
I am sorry this is simply not an acceptable answer. We bought your product and pay for it, and have spent 3 months building around it based on your documentation and stating that this feature works. Without this our entire build is now worthless. You have an obligation to provide us the features you say in your documentation exist not say - oops sorry we made a mistake. That is simply not ok. I want a call with a senior leadership team member today to discuss.
Thank you for reaching out, my name is Tyler and Im the Support Manager for WebViewer and PDF.JS Express.
Our apologies if our API docs mentioned the extractPages API, this was missed during our release and should be marked as not available. You can find our guide on Page Manipulation here: Page Manipulation in JavaScript PDF Viewer | PDF.js Express SDK which is clearly states that you would need to use WebViewer instead of PDF.JS Express for Page Manipulation.
If you have any additional questions around this, please let me know.
That does not help me. I built around PDF Viewer which SAID IT WORKED>. Saying it was missed and now I have to rebuilt is simply not ok. THIS IS NOT an answer to a customer at all.
I already have paid you for PDF Viewer and built for months around it. SO NOW WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER SEEN. Your mistake and you are just going to say tough luck!
