PDF.js Express Demo - Download button

Which product are you using?

PDF.js Express Version

Can you please advise whether the download button on the demo page (see attached) is part of the standard pdfjs express functionality or is this a paid for extra only available when I spend extra money?
I would like to be able to download my pdfs from the viewer (rather than print).

Thanks,
Justin

Hello justin.spencer,

We have a guide on the saving of documents here: Saving a document in PDF.js Express | Documentation

The download button just calls these functions!

Best regards,
Tyler Gordon

Thanks for the response Tyler.
This was the line I was looking for “Please note that PDF.js Express does not have the ability to bake annotations into a PDF file on the client, so getFileData will not include annotations.”

I wasn’t sure if the download would bake in the annotations itself (but the docs say this has to go off to Canada via the API to get processed). Unfortunately we can’t use that function because our client drawings can’t leave the UK.

So a download without the annotations is not what I’m looking for. I’ve spoken to your sales guys about serverside processing and flattening, but the cost is pretty high so I’m still pondering.

Thanks,
Justin
