Yearly Renewal cost increased with no major updates provided

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the recent changes in the renewal invoice for PDF.js Express. The invoice has increased from $4,500.00 per year to $7,130.00 —a significant rise, especially given the current lack of development plans for PDF.js Express as highlighted in here:

Future of PDF:JS Express? and When is EOL (End of Life) for PDF.js Express?

Given these circumstances, I would appreciate if you could provide more insight on the following points:

  • The rationale behind the significant increase in renewal costs.
  • The current and future roadmap for PDF.js Express, particularly regarding ongoing development and support.
  • How the product’s development status might affect existing and future subscribers.

We have valued the benefits PDF.js Express has brought to our operations, and understanding these changes is critical for us to make informed decisions moving forward.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

I agree with you, it’s just ridiculous. The library development stopped, it’s not updated since July 2022, and they are increasing the price based on what?
Obvisouly the new owner, apryse, just wants everyone to move to their main SDK, but with behaviors like this I’m just going to replace it with a solution from another vendor.
