We need links to be clickable in the PDF

If we display a PDF file, the embedded links will not work! We just need to point to an external link, that’s all we need. We don’t want to have to buy a Plus/Pro version for this simple action. What is the solution to the problem?

Best

Hi there,

While link annotations are not a feature within pdf.js viewer,
If you display the links as text, then the viewer should automatically make those text as links and should allow for redirecting.

Hi Kim,

correct, but there is also the problem that links that do not fit into a line are simply cut off and then no longer work.

What possibility is there to make links possible after all, e.g. to link a word? Could you perhaps think internally about enabling this function? We don’t need internal links in the document, but external links to the web.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, the free viewer does not support annotations, and linking a word (whether internal or external) would be creating a link annotation.
We recommend the Apryse WebViewer for this functionality.
